I came across this blog while surfing the net, getting further information to utilize for my wife and I as we open our new quilt shop in south Louisiana. I did a little more than just chuckle as I read your posting.

We are, obviously, way behind you and your wife, as we are planning to open our shop in a couple of months. My wife, who, obviously, will be there 24/7, just met with the Checkers rep. this past Thursday to begin placing our first order—kind of scary, but exciting at the same time.

I share your amazement at the average quilter. Crazy is putting it mildly. It took me a while to recognize and appreciate these ladies and this industry, but, wow! I, too, have been to the International Festival in Houston, approx. 3 years ago. I got cold feet after attending, but am not sure why. 3 years later, however, we are taking the plunge.

I am going to bookmark your blog and check back periodically. Heck, who knows, maybe I’ll join the blog world when our shop gets up and going.

My vote on your blog is to keep it up!!
